Matching Cards
The Ladybird Key Words Reading Scheme was a huge success for the company and helped a large part of the Nations 40 somethings to read as well as what they can. To accompany the series, a set of picture-word matching cards were published. There were (at least) two volumes, a blue set and a red set, each consisting of 6 pictures and a number of word cards to choose from. Apparently a score card was given to children. If you have one, please let us know.

ruff!They date from the 60's and are marked as "Wills & Hepworth". Interesting little items to any Ladybird enthusiast. They came from a primary school that was closing down & selling off their stock. It makes you wonder how much more Ladybird material lurks in school cupboards.

To save you looking, the keywords scheme was never issued in dust-jackets...
