Best known as the man who penned "Strangers In The Night", Kaempfert's classic easy listening albums started off with pictures of the man himself on the front, trumpet in hand. When he began to achieve success outside his native Germany (his first million seller came in 1960), they began to feature well heeled, affluent looking women to emphasise the quality of the material.
